Title: A Marai with an offering to the Dead
Description: A Marai or altar with offerings to the Dead. A pig and two fish are placed on an elevated platform, or fata-rau. This is probably the great Taputapuatea marai at Opea, on the south--east coast of Raiatea. Described in Joseph Banks's journal on 20 July 1769
